After receiving a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas, I accepted a position at TD Ameritrade – where I spent the first ten years of my career in the financial services industry and became a subject matter expert in brokerage service and operations. As an Institutional Relationship Manager, I also partnered with Independent Advisor firms to support their goals and saw first-hand the impact they made on their client’s financial well-being. I then transitioned into roles focused on the development and training of employees where I realized my passions for building community and leadership. It was in this space that I led a team of learning professionals as we spearheaded the delivery of training initiatives for the integration of TD Ameritrade and Charles Schwab – one of the largest integrations in financial services history. These experiences helped shape my flair for innovation, commitment to continuous improvement, and strongly held belief that people matter.
With a decade of work at a broker-dealer behind me, I was ready to pursue a passion for supporting individual clients once again. I was inspired by the unique offering Five Oceans has curated and recognized it as something I wanted to be a part of – to both contribute to and grow within. I’m energized by the awesome creativity and innovative thinking that comes from groups in alignment with each other and guided by the right principles.
Outside of work, my primary hobbies are road cycling and gardening. I enjoy activities that provide an opportunity to exert yourself physically while also quieting the mind – and find it satisfying to observe progress over time. Some of my other favorite things include family game nights, supporting farmer’s markets, eating breakfast for dinner, and the smell of citrus.
